Explained Medications / Medication Side Effects Understandably
When patients are prescribed medication they may experience feelings of uncertainty or apprehensive about taking an unfamiliar drug. To help relieve any anxieties from the patient and their carer it is important for the health professional to provide an explanation 'why' they have been introduced to the medication and information about about the possible side effects of the drug. It is important for the health professional to deliver this information in a way our patients and their carers can understand and feel comfortable to ask more questions about the drug.
