2005 NSW Health Awards - Proudly Sponsored by Baxter

The Baxter NSW Health Awards were established in 1999 to showcase NSW Health's commitment to quality, innovation and excellence in healthcare. The first Awards in 1999 received 97 entries, with this number increasing to 229 entries submitted in 2005.

Judges of the Baxter 2005 NSW Health Awards nominated 48 finalist projects, including 11 winning projects, which were announced at the Awards Ceremony at the Australian Technology Park on 21 October 2005. The Director-General presented the Director-General's Award and the Minister for Health presented the Minister's Award. Judges also nominated projects for special awards in Innovation and Excellence.

Effectiveness of health care

Appropriateness of care

Consumer participation in health care

Access to services

Efficiency of service provision

Competence

Information management

Continuity of care
